Taking out Crime at the Source

I have always been sickened by the amount of crime that occurs in a modern society like our own. I had just recently moved into a new home that lay nestled in the most quaint of suburban neighborhoods. I felt safe here and had convinced myself that crime would never reach such a idyllic place in the American heartland. So why was it that three months later I was looking into www.home-security.co/? It didn’t take long for the security of the place to be breached — what can you expected from a single gate with a simple four digit code? It’s hardly going to stop someone who wants in badly enough.

Someone did. For weeks it had been happening but nobody was the wiser. Little things began to disappear at first until finally someone’s house had been broken into. Their door left wide open, the criminals responsible for the theft casually strolled right through their front door, loaded up the car with valuables and electronics as if it all belonged to them. While I was able to avoid being robbed to such a degree I did discover their vain attempts to break into my home. Window frames had been cracked from where they had sought to pry them open but thankfully the home had prevailed.

I don’t know what I would have done had I found someone in my home. I’m not a violent person but the very notion of having a stranger in my home with the purpose to steal from me is enough to make my blood boil and my anger to send my heart pounding. I wouldn’t let them get away with it! Even if it meant that I would fling myself at them to get them to stop, I would do everything in my power to stop them.
